Cranbrook General Requirements

• Arrive 15 minutes early; programs start right on time.
• Scouts are responsible for their transportation. Maps are available and car pooling is encouraged.
• Parents are not required to attend, there may be a small fee for their attendance.
• For full day programs, bring a sack lunch or money for the on-site cafeteria.
• Fee will be deducted from your account on the date of the sign-up deadline.
• Prerequisites will be available the week following the sign-up deadline listed.
• This program is for Boy Scouts 11 years old and up.
  Scouts should wear their class A uniforms.
• Scouts should be prepared for the weather and dress appropriately.
• Scouts must bring 2 pencils and a clipboard
• Scouts must come prepared with the merit badge series book, completed merit badge application and any required pre-requisites completed prior to workshop.   See item below if pre-reqs are not completed.
• A certified merit badge counselor will collect  worksheets at the conclusion of the program. Cranbrook Institute of Science Merit badge counselor reserves the right to give only partial credit or no credit if all of the  requirements are not met. If  all requirements are met at the conclusion of workshop the scout keeps the worksheet and may mail it to CIS for completion credit. Corrected worksheets and blue cards will be mailed to the troop leader no later than 30 days after program date.
• All participants will be given a Cranbrook patch at the conclusion of the program.

THE PREREQUISITES for the Merit Badges, listed below,  ARE AVAILABLE NOW and it's a good idea to start early.

The Astronomy and Nature badges each have a prerequisite that will take 30 days to complete.
