Scouts need money!
Equipment & Outings don't come without a price. From Whirlyball to
Mountain Climbing, to Summer Camp, Scouts NEED money. To get these much needed
funds, Scouts have FUNraisers. Here are some examples:
Bottle Drive

- Scouts head out door-to-door in search of deposit bottles and cans.
- Returning these adds up and before you know it you've paid for an outing.
- Tip: Have a parent set up a collection box at work, talk to relatives too!
- Always Check our calendar for the latest dates and Locations where
we'll be.
- Scouts: Bring a bag lunch and something to drink.
- Parents: Bring a Lunch - have lunch with the scouts - PB & J's are cool.
- Dress in
Class "B" not class "A" uniforms - You may get dirty.
- Dress appropriately for the weather - very important.
- Parents - two things
- The scouts can collect the bottles but we still need volunteer drivers.
- You need to volunteer to drive every third bottle drive your scout participates in.
- Allow up to 6 hours for this event.
- You can earn up to $15 per hour participating in this event.
- The money is good to get; the fun is a lot more than you might think.
Wreath Sale
- The holiday season brings the need for Greenery.
- Scouts fulfill the need for green and make some green for themselves.
- Every year our Scouts sell thousands of dollars in the greenery earning them big bucks for
scout stuff.
- This event kicks off mid-October or November.
Popcorn Sale
- Gourmet popcorn - that really hits the spot
- A vast Assortment.
- Buttery microwave.
- Microwave Light.
- Chocolate Covered.
- Kettle Corn.
- Caramel with Peanuts or Pecans.
- Cheese corn.
- Pick your favorite
- Find a Scout in the Fall and he'll be happy to sell you all the popcorn you need.

Entertainment Coupon Books
- Spend a couple bucks and get so much more in return.
- These books are chock full of coupons for area merchants.
- You'll get the purchase price back in no time.
- and you'll be helping Scouts do Scouting stuff.
Bowling Tournament
- Our ONE big fundraiser for the Troop.
- All the other fundraisers put cash in the Scout accounts, this one
puts the money in the Troop general fund.
- From this fund, we buy tents, lanterns, all the scout gear the Troop needs to insure a quality program
for the
boys.
- Ticket sales begin in January/February with the event in March/April.
- keep your eyes on the calendar.
