JLT - (Junior Leader Training) - This is training for Scouts that are new to leadership. JLT occurs twice a year immediately following Troop Elections. Those Scouts filling a new office in the Troop must attend. This training is fun & informative. Although lasting about 6 hours, the training is broken into several segments with games and instructional sessions. Lunch is included. There is no charge for this training. Keep your eyes on the calendar, but if you've recently been elected/appointed to a Troop Leadership position, you'll be notified.
Troop Committee Meeting - What? You haven't been to a Committee Meeting yet? This is where the business end of the Troop is performed. We talk about what's coming up, who's leading the treks, what the Troop is spending money on, how we can help out in our community... You've seen the meeting minutes in the Scout's mailbox, now become part of it. Being a Troop Committee member gives you a voice (and a vote) in how the troop is run. Check it out! Adults only please. During the school year we meet at Seneca room LM5; in the summer the locations are to be determined and usually end up at a Committee Member's house or Gander Mountain.
PLC - (Patrol Leaders' Council) - This Meeting is for the Troop Leadership. The SPL, ASPL, all Patrol Leaders or representatives (Asst. Patrol Leaders) must attend. Additionally, the Troop Scribe and Quartermaster or their representatives must also attend. This meeting is for Troop Meeting and activity planning. Check calendar for dates, times & locations.
