Troop 248 site viewing & e-mail update recommendations
This site uses frames and is optimized for 800x600 screen area.
If you're browser does not support frames, you'll need to update your browser, as there is no plan to create a non-frames site. The Webmaster apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. You can get Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator free by downloading them from their respective sites by clicking the icons below.
As for screen area... Maximize this window (click the box in the upper-right
corner
). If you can see this entire arrow

you'll be fine. If part of the arrow is not visible you may be using a screen area smaller than 800x600 like 640x480. You can continue to view the web site pages, but you may have difficulty viewing some pages and you'll be using the horizontal scroll bars a lot. To check/change your screen settings in Windows, do this:
Click Start, point to Settings, then to Control Panel. In the Control Panel open the Display, the Display Properties dialog box will open up. Select the Settings tab. Check the desktop size in the Screen Area. You adjust the screen area by moving the slider. If you only have 640x480, then no adjustment can be made and your stuck with this low resolution. Otherwise move the slide bar to 800x600 or greater and click Apply. You may get a dialog box like this:

Click OK, and wait. Your new screen setting will appear and a dialog will ask if you'd like to accept the setting. If you do nothing, in 15 seconds your screen will revert to its original screen area setting. If you'd like to keep the new setting, click OK.
The Webmaster uses hotmail, a free e-mail service from Microsoft. To prevent the overload of spam (unwanted e-mail), some companies (not Internet Providers) block hotmail from entering their servers. If you'd like to receive e-mail updates, but your e-mail provider (like your employer) blocks hotmail, you'll need to provide an alternate e-mail address. There are many web-based free e-mail providers, like hotmail, & yahoo. Flash: Effective immediately, the Webmaster has begun to use his new webmaster@bsatroop248 address, so forget all that hotmail stuff.
Thank you, Troop 248 Webmaster
